The SPR's cavitation shockwaves are capable of making extremely small gas bubbles.  These small bubbles allow for maximum surface area and contacting allowing for faster and more complete reactions.

Gas bubble size can also be controlled for flotation or dissolving applications by varying the level of cavitation.  The pictures below show a control pipe and then one after passing through cavitation.
