The ShockWave Power™ Concentration and
Evaporation System
The ShockWave Power™ Concentration System
is the best system on the market for evaporating water from solutions. The
system is perfect for removing water from oil, concentrating glycol or
reducing volumes of wastewater. At the heart of the system is the patented
ShockWave Power™ Reactor (SPR) that creates controlled cavitation for
heating. This noncombustible heating technology assures that there will be
no scale buildup inside the SPR (formerly called the Hydrosonic Pump™).
That is correct! Hydro Dynamics guarantees that regardless of the material
being heated, there will be NO SCALING. This eliminates most of the
maintenance headaches and associated expense.
With conventional technologies, heat is transferred into a cooler liquid
by a much hotter metal surface. The temperature differential between hot
metal and a cooler liquid forces impurities to migrate from the liquid and
buildup on the hotter metal surface. This buildup is called scale.

In the ShockWave Power™ Reactor there
are no heat transfer surfaces--the metal surfaces are actually cooler than
the liquid. Impurities will not migrate from a hotter liquid and buildup
on cooler metal—therefore, there is no reason for our system to scale. The
DT between the liquid and the metal has been eliminated. The SPR heats
liquids in a totally different way and creates the heat in a totally
different place---“inside the liquid”. The heat is created where it is
needed. In the ShockWave Power™

The System can be run as a batch, semi-continuous, or continuous process
depending on the desire of the customer. In all three methods, the
untreated liquid flows continuously in a loop between the ShockWave Power™
Reactor and the separation tank. As the liquid is heated, water will be
removed in the form of steam. This steam can be used to preheat the
incoming liquid or other processes on site.
The ShockWave Power™ Reactor can be manufactured from carbon steel,
stainless steel or a non-metallic composite. The SPR can be powered from
an electric motor, a diesel engine or any power takeoff device. The System
is designed to withstand severe environmental operating conditions. All
components are purchased from suppliers with a worldwide reputation for
quality and service. |
